Join Isabel Hospice as an Events Assistant Volunteer and play a crucial role in supporting our Retail and Fundraising Teams. You will help us bring the core values of Isabel Hospice into the community through assisting us run stalls at local events which generate vital income. This role is varied and flexible with an ever-expanding calendar of events that run throughout the year.
What you'll be doing:
- Represent Isabel Hospice at local events alongside staff and fellow volunteers.
- Help set up, manage, and pack down event stalls.
- Selling preloved and new goods to customers at our Retail Events.
- Assist with event planning and preparation, as needed.
- Share our mission with the community and help raise awareness and funds.

Am I eligible to volunteer?
We ask that our volunteers are:
- At least 18 years old
- Live within an easy commute to the area including Welwyn Garden City, Hertford, Hoddesdon and Bishops Stortford.
All volunteers are assessed individually for the volunteer roles they are applying for. We strongly believe in equal opportunities and welcome applicants who are representative of our diverse communities.
Expectations:
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Isabel Hospice guidelines.
- Have a professional and courteous manner in accordance with Isabel Hospice policies.
- Demonstrate Isabel Hospice values
- Identify yourself as a volunteer while carrying out your duties
All appointments are at the discretion of the management team and are subject to a one-month trial period for both parties.

About Isabel Hospice
All our care is free and can be provided in your home, at our community hubs or our In-Patient Unit. Most of the people we care for have cancer, however, we are also increasingly caring for people with other life limiting conditions.
