Treasurer Trustee
Are you passionate about making a difference in your community?
Integration Support is a small, local charity with a mission to enable, empower, and support refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants on their journey towards successful integration. We are based in Harlow, Essex, and support communities in and around West Essex and the bordering Hertfordshire towns.
We are seeking a Treasurer to join our friendly Board and help guide our financial strategy and long-term sustainability.
About the role
This is a key governance role, combining the general responsibilities of a Charity Trustee with specific oversight of the charity’s financial affairs.
Key Responsibilities – Treasurer
• Oversee the financial affairs of the charity.
• Monitor and report on the financial health of Integration Support.
• Oversee annual budgeting and ensure Trustees understand financial reports.
• Ensure annual audits and financial reports are presented at the AGM.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities – Trustee
• Act in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries.
• Contribute to strategic direction and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with charity regulatory requirements.
• Attend Board meetings, committees, and planning events.
• Work within governance rules and provide constructive challenge.
About you
- You have a good head for numbers; experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping would be ideal.
- You are organised, reliable, and able to explain financial matters clearly.
- You are willing to work collaboratively as part of a small trustee team
- You have an interest in our cause and preferably live in Harlow or the surrounding area.
Time commitment
- Around 4 hours per month, including 4-6 Board meetings a year.
Location: West Essex. We offer hybrid meetings, but would prefer a trustee who can attend in person on occasion.
