Support our friendly team at the Family Centre Service and learn new skills in one of the many roles we have available. We offer training & mentor support.
Volunteer opportunities could include:
- Supporting in our baby groups
- Supporting in our play sessions
- Providing administrative support
- Gardening (seasonal planting, growing vegetables & more)
The above could include:
- Welcoming new families
- Explaining the running of the session to new parents
- Spending time with new parents until they settle in
- Sharing our programme to help new parents
- Participating in sessions
- Role modelling
- Joining in with activities or sharing a hobby/skill (ie musical instrument)
- Encouraging feedback from other parents about what their child/ren have learned
- Supporting with the administrative tasks (photocopying, printing, organising files, etc)
- Gardening (seasonal planting, upkeep of gardens)
