We're looking for a male volunteer in the Sawbridgeworth area to become an Independent Visitor (IV) for a young person. You must be over 18 to apply.
Independent Visitors spend regular time with a young person they are carefully matched with, building a positive, long-term relationship through shared activities and regular contact. The role offers friendship, encouragement and consistency, helping young people build confidence, enjoy new experiences and have a trusted adult who is there just for them.
Full training, ongoing support and reasonable expenses are provided. The role is subject to a rigorous recruitment and assessment process, including references, an enhanced DBS check, home visit assessment, safeguarding checks and formal approval before any volunteer is matched with a young person.
