Summary
Could you spare just one hour a week at a Belles training session?Join us as a Wellbeing Ambassador to support the pastoral needs of players and coaches.
Detailed description
Hitchin Belles is a place for girls of all backgrounds to play football, make new friends, and have fun.
Sport has well-known benefits for wellbeing, helping us to feel good, build confidence and resilience, reduce stress and boost our moods. Coaches often become ‘trusted adults’ for team members, noticing when someone is low or worried, or in need of some extra support or signposting.
We’re growing a team of wellbeing ambassadors to support coaches and teams with pastoral, physical and mental wellbeing needs.
Could you spare just one hour a week at a Belles training session? We are especially keen to increase our female representation and role models.
No football experience/knowledge required.
You will attend a Belles training session each week (flexible days/times available), and work closely with players, coaches and parents, building relationships and offering support, providing guidance on topics like: Periods - Nutrition - Mental Resilience - Injury Prevention - Sports Bras.
You will receive training and peer support, and be part of a positive new initiative.
