HVA needs a Web Content Manager to update and maintain our Wordpress website, removing duplication, making access easier, adding new content as required
HVA's purpose is to help local artists flourish and enrich communities through creativity. We have a creative membership of around 400 artists and reach out to many different local communities. Our activities include Herts Open Studios run for over 35 years, various locally run exhibitions, a number of networking groups for our creative members.
Our website serves the needs of the public and our members. Some elements need restructuring; there is duplicated information; and some content is out-of-date. Addressing these challenges will make access to information easier and encourage visitors and members to use the site more often.
The Web Content Manager needs to be confident in the use of WordPress and Formidable Forms, able to create a cohesive overall design with a simple, easy to use interface. For the members, the site is used to: access and download information; create and update visual pages showing their artworks; add events to the online calendar for member; register for events; and, pay fees. For visitors, the site allows them to: view details of the members and their art; search for specific types of art; see details of current and future exhibitions/events; apply to join the membership; and, subscribe to the emailed newsletter,
The Website Content Manager will report to the Head of Marketing and have support from member volunteers who write copy as needed.
HVA is committed to an inclusive society and welcomes applications from anyone with the skills and time available to offer support through this role. Training and induction will be available for the successful applicant.
