HVA needs extra funding so we can develop the organisation's growth capacity and meet the needs of our creative members.

Main Purpose:

● To identify, explore, document and apply for new funding opportunities to support HVA future development and allow visual arts to be more widely accessed.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify and document suitable sources of funding for HVA as an organisation and for specific projects/initiatives
  2. Maintain contact register for appropriate funding sources
  3. Communicate funding opportunities to Executive Team
  4. Prepare and compile funding applications

Critical time targets

  • Agendas for all Executive Team meetings
  • Opportunities timescales.
  • Timelines for specific funding applications.

Reports to Treasurer.

The Fundraising Volunteer will:

  • Research online to identify potential funding sources to support HVA development
  • Maintain an online repository of information
  • Be methodical, with a strong attention to detail
  • Write a clear compelling case to gain funding
  • Present HVA proposals so they address funder priorities
  • Meet critical timelines.

Volunteers will get great satisfaction from finding suitable funding opportunities, meeting key deadlines, and working as part of a team. Every bid, even if unsuccessful, will contribute to team learning.
