HVA needs extra funding so we can develop the organisation's growth capacity and meet the needs of our creative members.
Main Purpose:
● To identify, explore, document and apply for new funding opportunities to support HVA future development and allow visual arts to be more widely accessed.
Responsibilities
- Identify and document suitable sources of funding for HVA as an organisation and for specific projects/initiatives
- Maintain contact register for appropriate funding sources
- Communicate funding opportunities to Executive Team
- Prepare and compile funding applications
Critical time targets
- Agendas for all Executive Team meetings
- Opportunities timescales.
- Timelines for specific funding applications.
Reports to Treasurer.
The Fundraising Volunteer will:
- Research online to identify potential funding sources to support HVA development
- Maintain an online repository of information
- Be methodical, with a strong attention to detail
- Write a clear compelling case to gain funding
- Present HVA proposals so they address funder priorities
- Meet critical timelines.
Volunteers will get great satisfaction from finding suitable funding opportunities, meeting key deadlines, and working as part of a team. Every bid, even if unsuccessful, will contribute to team learning.
