HVA is expanding. We wish to underpin ambitious plans to increase our activities with financially beneficial opportunities for business and HVA.

HVA wants to increase its support to art and artists and to enrich local communities through. Greater access to visual arts events and activities. To underpin this we seek to build financially beneficial opportunities for both business and HVA. Our existing programme of events and exhibitions and our communication media extends across the county. It could provide connections to local organisations who wish to promote themselves to our audiences: people who buy art, love art, and see the benefit of creativity in their lives. HVA artists are also purchasers of a number of products and services.

What are we looking for?

You will be a good communicator with sales and marketing experience as well as excellent relationship building and organisational skills.

What will you do?

As Business Relationship Developer, you will:

  • Familiarise yourself with details of HVA activities and the opportunities these offer
  • Research and identify businesses and organisations that might be interested
  • Maintain a record of the organisations, key people, past contacts and outcomes
  • Build relationships with these contacts, identifying and discussing mutually beneficial relationships
  • Obtain advertisers, sponsors and new Business Members to support HVA events and publications
  • Organise networking meetings that bring together advertisers, sponsors and HVA Business Members giving them the opportunity to work collaboratively through HVA-run meet-ups
  • Provide regular reports to the Executive Team which include income generation.

This role may involve some travel within Hertfordshire. Reasonable out of pocket expenses will be covered by prior agreement. You will need access to a computer and internet.

What’s in it for you?

This role combines home-based research, email and telephone contact with business prospects and in-person visits when appropriate. You will measure your success in terms of contacts made, new Business Members signups and new relationships built, as much as in the achievement of support such as advertising, sponsorship or in-kind contributions.

If you’d like to support the spread of visual arts to communities across Hertfordshire and in nearby areas, contact us with details of your experience and availability so an initial interview can be arranged.
