As Assistant to the Treasurer, you will help with day-to-day transitions to support preparation of financial reports and monitoring of cashflow.
HVA is volunteer-led organisation established over 36 years ago. We recently became a Community Interest Company (CIC) to support our ambitious growth and development plans. As a CIC, HVA needs to maintain detailed and meticulous financial records in preparation for annual financial reporting.
What will you do?
As Assistant to the Treasurer, you will:
- provide bookkeeping support to the Treasurer.
- handle day-to-day reconciliation of financial information using Xero accounting software.
- collate financial data into business reports.
- seek, identify, explore and document financial information as requested by the Treasurer.
- identify and document suitable resources for HVA.
- maintain financial information.
- conduct other financial research and support activities as required by the Treasurer.
What skills and experience do you need?
- A sound understanding of finance and accounting practices.
- Familiarity with Xero accounting software (or similar).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Access to a laptop and internet connection.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
Reports to David Wye, Director and Treasurer
