Are you a safe and reliable driver with a few hours to spare each week? Join us in making a real difference!
We’re looking for volunteer minibus drivers to support our vital work with individuals living with a visual impairment across Hertfordshire. As part of our team, you’ll help transport members to HVL events, SightLife support group meetings, and other meaningful outings that reduce isolation and help build a caring, connected community.
Your role will also include:
Topping up the minibus with fuel.
Taking the vehicle for routine maintenance checks and repairs.
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds a full, clean UK driving licence (D1 entitlement preferred but not essential)
Is friendly, patient, and empathetic.
Has a genuine desire to support our wonderful service users.
Is willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (fully funded by us)
What you’ll gain:
The chance to make a meaningful impact in your local community.
Full training and ongoing support.
Expenses covered.
New friendships and the reward of helping others stay independent and socially connected.
The opportunity to be part of a passionate and supportive volunteer team.
Join us in steering change! Your time behind the wheel can help someone living with sight loss stay connected, independent, and supported.
We look forward to hearing from you!
