We provide track and field, road running and cross-country activities, based on Wodson Sports Park in Ware and Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn, for all ages from 9 upwards, and have some 450 members.

The role is to maintain the membership records of some 450 athletes and to respond to enquiries from potential new members, liaising with our coaches.Detailed description
The activity is largely computer-based, using a data-base called Membermojo and e-mails. It could therefore be carried on from home, although it might be enhanced by face-to-face meetings with parents, athletes and coaches at our training sessions and athletics matches. The training sessions are principally at Wodson Sports Park in Ware and Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
New athletes must be tracked through their 'taster' sessions, and then liaison with the Treasurer is necessary to ensure that subscriptions are paid. Liaison with coaches is necessary to ensure that the athlete is placed in the correct training group. The Membership Secretary may be co-opted to the Club's Committee, meeting about every 6 weeks, but this is not essential.
The volunteer will have the satisfaction of knowing that they are playing a vital role in running a healthy and life-enhancing experience for a large number of (mostly) young people.
