As we enter a period of change, the role of Treasurer is vital to the Board to support our development over the coming years into a larger, more complex and more efficient organisation. As part of our Board, we will rely on your financial knowledge and expertise to support and drive changes to our internal processes and procedures but also to play a full part as a Trustee in achieving all of our strategic goals.
With a background in finance, you will have the ability to communicate and clearly explain financial information to non-finance Board members. You will have experience of charity accounting, of working with the charity SORP and a knowledge of financial accounting and reporting procedures. You will have relevant accountancy qualifications or experience, and evidence of strategic financial planning skills.
Your previous experience will have evidence of integrity and good, independent judgement; including analytical and evaluation skills You must be well organised, able to keep records, careful when handling money and cheques, scrupulously honest, able to answer questions in meetings, confident handling figures, providing sound strategic guidance, governance and leadership to help drive HDSF forward.
