Anyone who is passionate about walking and helping others experience the benefits of walking is welcome. Priority to walkers who have already joined two walks

If you are passionate about walking and would like to know more about how to lead safe and inclusive group walks this workshop is for you.  You will learn how to support people who struggle to stay active due to lack of confidence, long-term health conditions, or who simply don’t know how to start.

The classroom training will explain more about the role of a walk leader and back marker and what we expect.  It gives you the opportunity to be involved in ensuring Health Walks remain an inclusive entry point to physical activity.  As a volunteer, you help create a welcoming environment where people feel safe to take those first steps.

Volunteer once a week, or once a month - it's completely up to you!
