This training is available for any registered 'Health Walkers!' If you have attended 2 or more walks and would like to become a volunteer, get in touch!
This classroom training delivers the accredited 'Ramblers UK' content and covers topics such as:
o The role of our Hertfordshire Health Walks volunteers
o Barriers to walking and inclusive walks
o Safeguarding and signposting
o Key documentation (including basic risk assessments, registers, and incident reporting)
o Stages of leading a Hertfordshire Health Walk
o The benefits of walking
o Planning your walk and keeping it safe
o Leading your walk
Volunteer once a week, or once a month - it's completely up to you!
