Become a Health Walk Volunteer and find out more about the role and what is expected. Before booking, we ask that you have attended at least 2 Health Walks.Detailed description
Help people become happier and healthier by walking together. This half day training 9:45am to 3pm will build your confidence to deliver enjoyable and inclusive Health Walks. The aim of the workshiop is to:
- To understand more about Hertfordshire Health Walks and the role of volunteers
- Learn more about who attends our walks and how to help them get the most out of walking with us
- Learn the practicalities of running a Health Walk (identifying routes, planning, safe guarding and leading walks)
- Gain the confidence needed to lead a safe, enjoyable and inclusive Hertfordshire Health Walk
You will be helping people who are the least active in the community improve their fitness. You will be supporting existing walks from Castle Park and/or Thorley.
