Summary

HGT seeks new Trustees who are enthusiastic about our key objectives: to research, conserve and enjoy the county’s historic gardens and landscapes.

Detailed description

TRUSTEE VACANCY Hertfordshire Gardens Trust

Can you help us preserve historic landscapes for future generations, and help schoolchildren learn about gardening? The Hertfordshire Gardens Trust is active and engaged in researching and conserving the county's parks and gardens and in supporting schools. We are looking for new Trustees to support our key objectives: to research, conserve and enjoy the county’s historic gardens and landscapes, organise courses and study days, and support school gardening initiatives.

As well as these interests, we are seeking Trustees who are knowledgeable in IT and social media, or grant-funding, or have school connections.

The Executive Committee comprises a minimum of six Trustees, Honorary Treasurer and Committee Secretary, and two co-opted members, supported by a Membership Secretary. It meets four times a year and an AGM is held in early July.

Applications are invited to include a short CV and expression of interest telling us why you would like to be a Trustee.

Contact us if you would like more information or to have an informal discussion about the role.
