Summary

Are you a whizz with social media? Do you have a passion for family history research? Do you know about marketing and could get us more followers and members?

Detailed description

We are a small family history society which focuses on family history for people researching ancestry in Hertfordshire, or Hertfordshire people wanting help getting started with their family trees elsewhere.

We have existing social media accounts, but our Facebook page manager needs a helping hand. We also need help marketing our monthly talks - these take place at Woolmer Green and on Zoom. We would also like to boost our membership - particularly amongst the younger age groups.

Can you help us? The commitment time is up to you. We can offer support to get you started and would value your expertise and enthusiasm.

You may be a marketing professional who wants to do some pro bono work, or you might be looking to get into, or back into the workplace and would like some work experience under your belt to talk about at an interview. Whoever you are, we need you, so do come and join our friendly society.

About Hertfordshire Family History Society

A registered charity (285008), we aim to educate and inform about family history for people researching ancestry in Hertfordshire, or Hertfordshire people generally wanting help getting started with family history research. We hold monthly talks available on Zoom and in person at Woolmer Green, Hertfordshire, produce a quarterly Journal called 'Hertfordshire People', and produce publications and monumental inscription indexes focused on Hertfordshire to help researchers.
