About the opportunity?

As a local dyslexia organisation we are asked to attend school coffee morning and parental SEND events to provide support and advice to parents. These are face to face events in Hertfordshire. The coffee mornings are often at primary schools and can be across Hertfordshire. The SEND events are usually organised by DSPLs. Two of the main ones are in Hemel Hempstead and Letchworth. At the moment, this amounts to two or three events a term, but could grow depending on volunteer availability.

What activities will you do?

Attend events and offer advice/support to parents attending events.

Skills required

Knowledge and understanding of dyslexia and education.

Who is good for the role?

Why volunteer for us?

You’ll be helping and supporting parents of dyslexic children, ultimately helping dyslexic children to thrive.
