We are looking for people who can come and champion an aspect of our work at HDA. We need skills, drive, and a can-do attitude.

We are keen to talk to those over 18 who are passionate about widening HDA's reach and joining our committee. There are several ways to do this, but the main thing is that they need to be driven and happy to lead on tasks.

The committee meets online once every two months in the evening to discuss the focus of activities and advance our objectives. They then take tasks away and with them to be done by the next meeting.

We would be keen to hear from those interested in:

  • Setting up networking groups for parents (with small or older children), Young people/adults with the condition
  • Digital marketing strategy
  • Administration to the committee
  • Fundraising
  • Charity policy and governance
  • Business professionals - especially those keen to develop supporting adults in the working world.
  • Social Media and website administration
  • Ex-teachers or those who understand the SEN landscape

Come and speak to us!

We need people who can contribute 2/3 hours to the organisation per month; depending on what you're doing, this could be more or less.

Most activities can be done at any time, so it is great for those working full-time jobs with commitments or unable to commit to a regular volunteer role - we have carers, working mums, and young professionals on our board.

We welcome anyone who is passionate about pushing the message of Dyslexia support to make contact.
