We are looking to recruit someone to manage the administration and needs of new and existing volunteers.
Can you spare a couple of hours a week? A mainly remote, occasionally on site, role from 2 to 4 hours in any given week
Harpenden Child Contact Centre is a local Charity, started in 2006, which provides support to families by facilitating contact between children and their parents or other adults from whom they are separated often following a family breakdown. The Centre opens on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month providing facilities for up to 18 children, in the hall attached to All Saints Church, Harpenden.
We are asking for your help.
We need someone to manage our current volunteer records (for around 40 volunteers) and process new volunteer applications. This involves contacting applicants, requesting and checking references and initiating DBS checks. Our volunteers undertake training 4 times a year and the role includes liaising with volunteers as well as admin around training ensuring volunteers have completed the training and keeping records up to date.
Additionally the role requires computer work including emails, maintaining data in simple spreadsheets and producing summary numbers for reporting. You will work closely with our administrative team. A full handover and training will be provided and help is always available as required.
