DofE Expedition Support Worker

Assist SfYP centres/coordinators/leaders/expedition teams with their training and planning

and expedition delivery

 Support SfYP centres across the County with their Expedition needs.

 Take an active role as a supervisor, group leader and/or assessor on the Practice and

Qualifying Expeditions at Bronze/Silver/Gold Award levels.

 Supporting Expeditions so that they are run in accordance with the DofE guidelines and the

Code of Practice.

 Supporting Expeditions so that they are run in accordance with safeguarding and health and

safety requirements.

 Support the inclusion of young people with additional needs to complete their expedition.

 Provide support, encouragement and feedback to the group/s of participants in the DofE

scheme when they are out on expedition.

 Support a group of young people with their expedition training, practice or assessed

expeditions.
