Our senior family support team is looking for a part-time volunteer admin assistant. Term-time only, between 1-2 days a week.
Role Purpose
To provide administrative support to the charity, helping staff and volunteers deliver effective services to children, parents, and families. This role contributes to the smooth operation of the organization and supports the delivery of family support programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct telephone calls, emails, and enquiries.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems.
- Assist with data entry and updating client or service-user information.
- Prepare letters, forms, information packs, and other documents.
- Support the scheduling of appointments, meetings, and family support sessions.
- Help organise events, workshops, and community activities.
- Monitor office supplies and assist with general office administration.
- Handle confidential information in accordance with data protection policies.
- Assist with volunteer and service-user registration processes.
- Support fundraising and communications activities where required.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable, professional, and friendly manner.
Desirable
- Previous office or administrative experience.
- Experience working with charities, volunteers, or community organisations.
- Knowledge of family support services or safeguarding principles.
