Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision
- Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to practitioners.
- Support staff in managing complex cases and clinical decision-making.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of clinical interventions.
- Encourage reflective practice and continuous professional development.
- Assist practitioners in identifying learning and development needs.
Quality Assurance and Governance
- Ensure clinical practice complies with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
- Maintain awareness of current legislation, policies, and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures.
- Support risk assessment and risk management processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Professional qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field.
- Accredited or registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
- Formal training in clinical supervision.
Essential Experience
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to practitioners.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and case management.
- Experience working with complex client presentations.
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse clinical information and make sound judgments.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Desirable
- Experience within a charity, family support, mental health, or community setting.
- Experience facilitating group supervision.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and inspection frameworks.
