Key Responsibilities

Clinical Supervision

  • Provide regular individual and group clinical supervision to practitioners.
  • Support staff in managing complex cases and clinical decision-making.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of clinical interventions.
  • Encourage reflective practice and continuous professional development.
  • Assist practitioners in identifying learning and development needs.

Quality Assurance and Governance

  • Ensure clinical practice complies with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation, policies, and evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in audits, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Support risk assessment and risk management processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field.
  • Accredited or registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
  • Formal training in clinical supervision.

Essential Experience

  • Significant post-qualification clinical experience.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to practitioners.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and case management.
  • Experience working with complex client presentations.

Essential Skills

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse clinical information and make sound judgments.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Desirable

  • Experience within a charity, family support, mental health, or community setting.
  • Experience facilitating group supervision.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and inspection frameworks.
