Summary

We’re looking for a fundraising volunteer for Green Care at Norton.

Detailed description

We’re looking for a fundraising volunteer - someone who can help us with fundraising from sourcing funding opportunities, applying for funding to building relationships with local organisations.

A fundraising volunteer would enable us to develop our horticulture and floristry project and our work with vulnerable and lonely adults in our community.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to learn more about horticulture and community projects and might have some fundraising experience (but not essential as we’ll support you in this role).

This role includes:

  • Building new relationships with local organisations and companies to increase our fundraising options
  • Developing existing relationships with local supporters
  • Sourcing new funding opportunities
  • Attending fundraising events
  • Suggest and drive forward new fundraising ideas
  • Working closely with Ray (Green Care at Norton’s founder) and the volunteer team to match new projects with funding
  • Promoting the work of Green Care at Norton locally
  • Communicating with funders and volunteers to update them on funding use and value

You do not need experience in all of these skills as we will provide full support and training.

You’ll bring:

  • Excellent communicator skills - you’re able to communicate with people at all levels (verbal and written)
  • Experience of fundraising (not essential)
  • Good IT skills

As a Green Care at Norton volunteer, you will benefit from:

  • Skills which are great for boosting your CV
  • Build on your teamwork and communication skills
  • A friendly, welcoming and supportive bunch of people
  • Wellbeing benefits of fresh air and nature
  • Experience of growing high quality food following organic principles
  • Socials such as BBQs and breakfast clubs
  • Flexible role (and can be done remotely)
