Summary
Our sociable working parties are on Friday mornings 9-12.30 and first Sundays 9.30-12.30. We do coppicing, path maintenance and similar outdoor tasks.Detailed description
Our working parties operate all year around. Volunteers attend when they can, letting our volunteer coordinator know the day before so they can plan our work.
We work outdoors in most conditions providing footing and handling is safe. No experience needed. We can show you how to contribute.
You will learn new skills, make new friends and deepen your appreciation for our natural habitat. We enjoy a tea-break and a chat too.
Simply make contact, spend some time with us and enjoy maintaining to the semi-ancient woodland within the Batchwood estate.

Support us to look after this natural and beautiful environment owned by St Albans City and District Council for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community.
Our volunteers contribute a few hours a month helping with woodland tasks such as coppicing, maintaining paths, planting and clearing invasive plants.
