Jump in the car and help us to rescue lots of tasty food. Pick up food from local supermarkets and drop it off at our venue ready to be cooked for our meal!

As a Food Collection volunteer you’ll play a vital part in making our community meals happen, by ensuring that your weekly FoodCycle session has a regular donation of food. You’ll pick up surplus food donations from our partner supermarkets in Luton town centre on a Tuesday afternoon and then you’ll then bring the surplus food back to our venue, Hightown Baptist Church for the cooking team to weigh and start making a meal.

You will need to have a valid driving license and access to a car with enough space to fit several crates of food in the boot/back. Our drivers start their collection from 1pm onward to drop off the food in time for when the cooks arrive at 3.30pm.
