Music Session Volunteer - Friday mornings

We are looking for regular, committed volunteers to assist our session leaders on Fridays (mornings and/or afternoons) at our 'Face The Music' sessions in Watford

With all our sessions and activities, we need volunteers to 

• To enable and empower our learning disabled members to get the most out of their time with Electric Umbrella
• Engage and encourage member involvement
• Support the session leader(s) and staff
• Get to know our members (and whoever accompanies them) - what do they like? What are they not keen on?
• Model Electric Umbrella behaviour at all times (enthusiasm, engagement, openness)

After an initial trial period, we ask all volunteers to undergo a DBS and reference(s) check.

What we need help with…

• Setting up and packing away the room 
• Meeting and greeting the members and their support
• Engaging and encouraging members (and whoever has come with them) to join in 
• Support the session leaders in that week’s activities
• Providing musical support to the session leaders (if that’s your thing)
• Reporting any concerns to staff

You don't have to be musical, or a musician - just a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to get stuck in!

Once we have reviewed your application our volunteer lead will be in touch to arrange a trial session.
