Let’s Chat is a telephone support service, which provides regular calls and a friendly chat to people who are isolated. Be non judgemental, give encouragement
WHCVS Volunteer Centre is looking for 2-3 volunteers who are willing to chat to some of their lonely residents in the Welwyn Hatfield area on a weekly basis.
Could you take some time to provide friendly conversation to people who are isolated as a result of but not exclusively their age, being housebound mental or physical illness/disability or living away from family?
You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and have a good amount of patience. Training will be provided. You will be required to have a DBS check or one will be processed for you and character references will be taken up prior to starting.
