We are looking for ambassadors to cover the villages around Royston, Ashwell and the Sandon/Wallington/Rushden/Weston areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following form the basis of what the role requires. Flexibility is needed according to location and the facilities available within each location.
- Forge links with local organisations, e.g. parent and toddler groups, local WI, village hall groups, parish councils.
- Attend local events to talk about Citizens Advice North Herts (CANH) and explain who we are, what we do and how our services can be accessed.
- Arrange informative talks on topics such as scams awareness, financial capability and energy bills.
- In association with the CANH Comms Team, access local media (e.g community magazines, websites and notice boards) to display posters and promotional material.
- Help improve our social media presence locally.
- Signpost clients when and where appropriate.
Personal Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly and approachable with a cheery, can-do attitude
- A desire to help people within your local community
- Experience of using social media desirable
- Ability to be self-motivated but also to work as part of a team
- Able to communicate with people at all levels
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and principles of Citizens Advice and its equality and diversity policies

Citizens Advice North Hertfordshire (CANH) is an independent local charity and a member of the national Citizens Advice network. We deliver high-quality free advice and support across North Hertfordshire and parts of South Cambridgeshire, and campaign on issues that matter to local residents.
