Detailed description
What you’ll do
As a Community Information Assistant, you’ll be a welcoming face of Citizens Advice in local outreach settings. You’ll:
✨ Greet people in a friendly, approachable way
✨ Listen without judgement and help assess what support they need
✨ Offer clear information and guidance on a wide range of issues
✨ Identify when someone needs more specialist help and refer them into our advice service
✨ Work alongside our advisors to support clients in the community
✨ Help manage expectations and make sure clients understand what we can help with
✨ Know when to ask for support — you’ll never be on your own
You’ll play a crucial role in helping people understand their options, access the right services, and feel supported during difficult moments.
We’ll give you full training, help you understand what Citizens Advice can (and cannot) advise on, and support you every step of the way. You won’t be giving detailed advice — just providing helpful information and signposting people to the right place.
