Mondays & Thursdays, 10:30am – 4:00pm
About the Role
Support a purpose-driven charity dedicated to preserving Britain’s prehistoric heritage by helping conserve and restore the ancient woodland surrounding our Iron Age village. As a Conservation Volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining diverse habitats and supporting local biodiversity.
About Celtic Harmony
We are an award-winning charity delivering immersive Prehistory and sustainability education since 1998. Based in a reconstructed ancient settlement in Hertfordshire woodland, we inspire future generations through a connection to nature and heritage.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist with woodland management and habitat restoration
● Clear invasive species and manage vegetation
● Maintain natural footpaths and coppiced areas
● Support wildlife-friendly projects such as dead-hedging and bug hotels
● Help keep the site tidy and ecologically balanced
● Contribute to conservation projects across the site
● Support other tasks based on site needs
Person Profile We’re looking for someone who is:
● Enthusiastic about nature and environmental conservation
● Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
● Hands-on, practical, and eager to learn traditional skills
● Reliable and team-minded
● In possession of own transport due to the rural location
