Summary

Visiting people who have applied to us for a cat to ensure that cats are homed to a suitable home and people wanting a cat get a suitable cat

Detailed description

As a Cats Protection Branch we are resourced entirely by volunteers. We don't have any premises and work from our homes. This role requires visiting the homes of people who have applied to adopt a cat from us to ensure they have a cat that is both right for them and right for the cat. Personal transport is required for this role, and costs are reimbursed.

Cats Protection has training programs, normally online, appropriate for this role and team members who will help you. You will be accompanied on your first visits until you are comfortable to go it alone.

Your checking will ensure that cats in our care have a happy future. That many lonely and/or older people have much needed company , children and others have the benefits of having a cat. A very rewarding role

About Cats Protection North Hertfordshire

At North Herts Cats Protection we rescue stray cats and rehome owned cats who have had to come into care for various reasons. We also support people who are struggling to look after their family member and run a neutering program to reduce the number of unwanted kittens which has been very successful.

We also raise funds for the cats and kittens in our care by attending events, running quiz nights and bingo nights or running a monthly coffee morning.
