Purpose of the role
We are looking for a creative, reliable volunteer to help shape the future of our social media presence. You will play a key role in telling the story of our hubs, our community programmes, and the people who make them possible. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys creating content, attending events, and bringing ideas to life.
Main duties
- Attend events to capture photos and footage.
- Edit and publish videos, images, and carousels for use on social media, marketing material and the website.
- Create short‑form video content for social media.
- Respond to comments and messages through social media to build meaningful relationships.
- Design graphics and write posts that reflect our brand voice.
- Ensure content represents the diversity of our audiences through targeted copywriting.
- Monitor reach, engagement, click throughs and other key metrics and use this data to refine content and improve performance.
Person specification
- Excellent organisational skills, paying close attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in content creation.
- Ability to accurately collate information and resources.
- Commitment to working in a team environment yet able to work independently.
- A full UK driving licence is essential as the role involves travelling independently to events across Hertfordshire.
