Summary

As part of the county-wide Staying Connected project, we run Digital Skills groups in in Stanstead Abbotts, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford + Bishop's Stortford.

Detailed description

You don't need to be an IT whizz to become a Digital Champion, you just need confidence, enthusiasm and a bit of spare time to help people realise the benefits of using digital technology. As a Digital Champion, you’ll need:

• the ability to confidently use a range of digital technologies such as laptops, smart phones and tablets.

• the ability to perform varied tasks including searching the Internet, writing and sending e-mails and using social media, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube.

• the ability to share these skills with others, helping them to learn at their own pace.

• You’ll also need a satisfactory DBS certificate, the cost of this will be covered by Community Alliance Broxbourne and East Herts.


We are currently running 4-5 sessions per month in various locations across East Herts: Stanstead Abbotts, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford and soon Bishop's Stortford usually between 10:30am and 12:00noon (Monday or Friday) or 2:30 and 4:00pm (Wednesday).
