Summary

We currently looking to fill a vacancy on our trustee board for a young trustee (ideally for people under the age of 25).

Detailed description

The general role of a board member is to support the following processes:

• Set and maintain vision, mission and values, and develop strategy

• Establish and monitor relevant policies and procedures

• Ensure moral and legal compliance and accountability with relevant organisations

• Maintain proper fiscal oversight

• Select, manage, and support staff in their roles, and evaluate performance

• Maintain effective board performance through member conduct and utilising development opportunities

• Promote CHEXS as ambassadors and work to protect the reputation of the charity

• Be familiar with the strengths and challenges that our famiiles face

• Work as part of the team to honour our commitment to our community

• Represent the organisation in an official capacity as required

• No experience is required, however knowledge of CHEXS and the structure of governance boards would be an advantage.

We are based in Waltham Cross and work with 13 of the local schools with a bespoke GROWTH programme consisting of 10 projects combined with parenting support and workshops to build stronger families.
