Bright Futures UK supports children and young people who have been forced to take time out of education to serious and long-term illness. We work with ages 5-24 who have experienced a mental or physical illness and have been unable to attend education.
Bright Futures UK consists of four main flagship programmes. Tutoring, mentoring, befriending and workshops.
We have a fantastic base of amazing volunteer tutors who provide private tuition online or in hospitals to our young people and children who have not been able to access their education due to their unfortunate medical circumstances.
We also have mentor and befriending programmes for our young people to provide them with social support, guidance or professional career advice.
Finally, we run fun and creative workshops with volunteers in leading NHS partner hospitals such as UCLH to engage with young people on the wards.
