Volunteer Health and Safety Adviser

We are a small volunteer managed housing association in the beautiful village of Braughing. We are looking for a competent and experienced volunteer Health and Safety Adviser to support us in maintaining high safety standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Advise trustees on health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance.

• Conduct or review risk assessments and safety audits.

• Provide guidance on creating safe environments forresidents and contractors.

• Support incident investigations and improvements.

• Offer training and support to foster our culture of safety.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking someone with:

• A recognised health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

• Practical experience in advising on health and safety matters, ideally in housing or similar sectors.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• A genuine commitment to volunteer work and community support.

We estimate the time commitment to be flexibly about 3 days/21 hours a year.
