Community Volunteering role, providing support and companionship to people who are dying in their own homes. In Stevenage and surrounding villages.
Could you offer companionship to someone who is dying?
We’re recruiting an initial team of 10–15 Community Butterfly Volunteers to help launch this much needed service, supporting people who are dying at home in Stevenage and the surrounding villages.
As a Community Butterfly Volunteer, you’ll spend time with people who may be feeling lonely or isolated, offering a reassuring presence, a listening ear and the comfort of knowing someone is there. You’ll also provide valuable support to family members and carers.
No previous experience is needed. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support, and you’ll become part of a compassionate team offering comfort, companionship and human connection to people who are dying and those closest to them.
