A Champion advocates for the importance of physical activity for older adults.
Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire is a movement enabling older adults to live longer, healthier and happier lives in Hertfordshire. We provide opportunities for citizens, volunteers and professionals in Hertfordshire to discover how to live longer better which includes becoming a Champion (to learn about it) and taking part in/volunteering at activity's such as Strength and balance classes
Some ways this can be achieved:
- Supporting to host a stall at a local event eg OPALS or Slipper Swap
- Attending a local exercise class to support the instructor, could be by facilitating the teas and coffees after the exercise
- Helping to spread the word about upcoming Live Longer Better events or programmes
- Gathering feedback from class attendees
We are keen to find out what you might be interested in doing as a volunteer and shaping the role around your interests and availability.
