We're looking for new volunteers to help run the weekly group meetings. You'll work alongside volunteers, and make a difference for people with Parkinson's.
‘If you have some time (no matter how little), have a desire to learn about Parkinson's and keen to help people, then volunteering is so fulfilling - I am so glad I decided to volunteer for our local group - it has enriched me as a person, reignited my passion for learning and being creative, and generally allowed me to "give back" to a community who benefit from our support.’ Hazel, Support Group Helper, Reigate.
As a Support Group Helper like Hazel you will directly support people living with Parkinson’s.
Whether you help by getting the space ready for an activity, making sure everyone has refreshments, giving a friendly welcome and listening ear or encouraging participants in a physical activity, you will play a vital role.
At the Welwyn and Hatfield Parkinson's UK Branch, we're looking for new volunteers to help run the weekly group meetings on the day. You'll work alongside fellow volunteers, and make a difference you can see in your local Parkinson's community.
