Repairers - Sewing skills

Can sew on a button, mend a ripped item of clothing, patch a pair of jeans or sew on a new zip. Our Repairs Cafe needs more people with sewing skills. The repairs cafe ethos is that local people can share their skills so that less things get thrown away. Local people come to our repairs cafe which is held on the last Sunday of the month in the Scout Hut on Durban Road East, and we try to fix their items and share skills to help them fix their own items in future too. We have a lovely friendly team of repairers. If you have sewing skills, we would love to hear from you. You are welcome to come along to a session, have some tea & cake, and see if you’d like to get included involved.
