Detailed description
We are looking to hear from anyone interested in supporting the running of the Redbourn Older People's lunch club.
It runs on a Wednesday at St Mary's Church, Hemel Hempstead Road, Redbourn, AL3 7DU between the approximate time of 10.30am - 3pm.
They provide clients with lunch and transport is provided by Redbourn Community Group.
We need individuals who would also be capable of transferring clients who are wheelchair users, and able to support people in earlier stages of dementia.
What would be involved?
- Chatting and listening to our clients as they attend their weekly Lunch Club
- Making tea/coffee and helping to set up and clear the room
- Encouraging members to join in with the activities such as playing board games, singing or listening to a guest speaker
- Supporting our Club Supervisors
- Socialising and having fun
The club has been going for nearly 40 years.
