Role description:
This is a great opportunity to for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our small, but busy finance team in Welwyn Garden City. We are looking for someone who can commit to supporting the team on a regular, ongoing basis. You will be assisting the team with varied tasks, helping us to ensure all things at Willow HQ run smoothly.
What’s involved?
In this role you will be assisting the finance team with posting purchase invoices and staff expense claims, supplier statement reconciliations, filing, assisting with our gift aid claims and creating sales invoices. This role will require you to be organised and have good attention to detail. You will be a vital part of supporting the team.
How long and how often:
We are looking for a volunteer to offer longer term support, committing a few hours a week on a Thursday morning , in our office.
Location: Willow head office, based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
The role will suit you if you are…
This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to volunteer on a regular basis in an office environment. Either some experience working in a Finance team or bookkeeping training would be an advantage. GCSE Maths A* - C grade is desirable together with good numeracy and Excel skills.
The impact you’ll make…
Your support will help our busy finance team to remain on top of paying suppliers helping to reduce queries. You’ll also help make sure we optimise our cash flow, receiving payments from customers and gift aid as soon as we are able.
Your support will mean Willow can continue to provide Special Days for seriously ill young adults.
What can you expect from us?
You will be a part of a small team, who are on hand to support you with your role and offer any training support where required. You will be provided with all necessary resources available and trained on how to use them. We will keep you informed and updated on how your support benefits the team, Willow and Special Days
