Summary

Support people to make positive changes in their lives by helping to deliver courses and workshops online or face to face.

Detailed description

Our 'Living Well' courses have been designed to support people make positive changes in their lives. Informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles these guided self-help courses support people to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviours, whilst offering new coping strategies. The volunteer would be expected to prepare and assist with running the course. (course notes are provided).

Some courses take place online but we also need volunteers who can run sessions at our Stevenage centre. Times vary but courses take place during the day and the evening.


We are looking for volunteers who have the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of CBT
  • Knowledge of Mental Health
  • Experience of a teaching role
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
  • Reliable, responsible and punctual
  • Effective communicator
  • Understanding and non-judgemental


This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference and give back to the local community.
