We are a small but growing charitable organisation and we aim to raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce stigma and offer creative opportunities

Detailed description

We raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce stigma and discrimination and offer creative opportunities to those with lived experience in Hertfordshire and are aiming to offer a regular creative newsletter, a booklet and creative magazine and we have started a regular zoom poetry and spoken word group with a collective of creative people with lived experience sharing our creativity and attending events and giving talks about mental health to give insight and understanding of experiences and challenges faced and we believe in parity for mental health with physical health and we have formed a regular committee to offer strong governance and transparency and to help shape and develop the project moving forward and have a service user led project management and leadership and we will provide travel expenses and refreshments and seek reliable and enthusiastic people who have an interest in mental health issues and creativity and our main roles are available to view here and please apply and we can have a chat to discuss all aspects further

Getting there

We collaborate with existing charities and use local facilities to run our services and hold meetings, some may be on zoom or in north Herts and Stevenage,

About Herts collective

We raise awareness of mental health challenges and reduce stigma and discrimination and offer creative opportunities to those with lived experience, we are a collective of service users with a creative voice and passionate about mental health and wellbeing and we are based in North herts and Stevenage and often collaborate with many charities and provide information, resources and give talks on all aspects of mental health and have funding in place for our regular newsletter, zoom groups, events and talks and for a creative booklet and magazine and we believe in parity for mental health with physical health and would welcome new committee members and volunteers to help shape and develop our charitable organisation and build stronger connections and communities across Herts
