Role Summary:


We are looking for a creative and dedicated Volunteer Graphic Design Support Assistant to help us design posters, leaflets, and other marketing materials. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in graphic design, build their portfolio, and contribute to a meaningful cause. The role involves using Canva and a brand kit to create visually appealing materials that support our organisation's mission.


Location:

Letchworth office or remote

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Design Creation: Create and design engaging posters, leaflets, and other promotional materials in Canva, ensuring they are consistent with our brand guidelines.

- Brand Consistency: Utilise the provided brand kit to maintain brand consistency across all designs, including colours, fonts, and logos.

- Content Collaboration: Work closely with the Communications Campaigns and Marketing Manager to understand the objectives of each project and ensure that the designs effectively communicate the intended message.

- Feedback Incorporation: Make revisions to designs based on feedback from team members, ensuring that final versions meet all requirements and deadlines.

- File Management: Organise and manage design files and assets efficiently, ensuring they are easily accessible to the team.

- Quality Assurance: Proofread and double-check designs for accuracy, ensuring all materials are error-free before finalisation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

 

- Proficiency in Canva: Experience using Canva to create high-quality designs.

- Understanding of Brand Kits: Experience working with brand kits and following established brand guidelines.

- Creative Eye: Strong attention to detail with a keen sense of design, layout, and typography.

- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and incorporate feedback effectively.

- Time Management: Ability to manage your time effectively, balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

- Team Collaboration: Willingness to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues and other volunteers.

 

- Prior experience in a similar role or with similar responsibilities is a plus.

- Familiarity with other design tools or platforms is beneficial.
